About

D&I is a non-profit initiative from the SPE Netherlands section, supported by women’s networks as well as industry leaders, aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion and empowering individuals to thrive in their careers. By connecting people, we aim to create a support network of professionals in the energy sector for sharing experiences, mentorship and sponsorship.

Our mission

Our mission is to raise awareness and importance of diversity and inclusion (D&I) themes in the energy industry. Our purpose is to solidify a D&I culture on the work floor and make steps towards equality.

Every one and a half year we organise a seminar for women and men working in the energy industry to discuss D&I topics in ever changing energy industry. During the events we engage with invited professionals from leading energy companies  and academia who share their knowledge and experience and we offer a variety of practical workshops. The seminars provide great networking opportunities and a platform for knowledge sharing within the energy sector. 

D&I 2021 Seminar

The 7th edition of the seminar will be held online on Thursday the 20th of May 2021 starting with panel session and continuing on Thursday 27th of May 2021 with interactive workshops. Our overarching theme for this year’s edition is: "Diversity & Inclusion: Survive and thrive ".
